Veson Nautical is excited to continue our valuable partnership with Dry Bulk leader Western Bulk, as Western Bulk will adopt the Veslink IMOS Platform as their end-to-end digital freight solution. VI-Pitch Feature Pitch Competition

VI-Pitch_Winner.pngAt ONCOURSE London in early May, Veson hosted our inaugural VI-Pitch feature pitch competition! The program was a great success, mainly due to the participation and energy our clients brought to the stage. Over the course of the competition, six companies pitched new feature ideas to the Veson client community, who then voted in real time to select a winner. The competition was fierce, but in the end, Stolt Tankers BV took home victory, with a Seasonal Routing feature for voyage estimates, presented by Ruud Bijvank.

All of the ideas pitched by our clients were well thought out and presented, and highlighted some main areas in our product that could benefit from additional functionality. The Veson product team has internalized this feedback and has added these themes to our roadmap. We will certainly continue this competition in the future, and look forward to hearing more great ideas from our clients!

Introducing Product Roundtables

Veson Nautical’s Product team is hitting the road, with new Product Roundtable programs!

At ONCOURSE London, the Veson Product team held three "Product Incubator" sessions: small group discussions that brought users into the feature development process at the design phase, in order to try out new ideas and get early feedback on new innovations. Participating clients brainstormed with the Veson team on AIS data, API extensibility, and CRM functionality. The Veson team found these conversations so productive, we are expanding these sessions and taking them on the road as Product Roundtables.  Look out for geographically located roundtable discussions where we intend to brainstorm, design, and vet new feature ideas in person with our clients and industry peers.

A Single Version of the Truth: d’Amico Partners with Veson Nautical to Implement a Modern Maritime Solution

“We chose Veson because we got the feeling that it was still growing its product, investing, and looking for new features to add while their competitors were looking a bit tired on the market. Veson is on the cutting edge of technology, and their continuous innovation is one of the competitive advantages our company is seeking every day.”- Pietro Amorusi, CIO, d’Amico

The d’Amico Group, founded in 1952, is a world leader in maritime transportation and manages one of the largest fleets of product tankers, bulk, and container vessels worldwide. Its mission and strategy have always been to respect and protect the environment, focus on customer care, and nurture the professional excellence of its own people. With over 10 global offices and 350 onshore employees, as well as 3,000 seafarers rotating onboard its vessels, the d’Amico Group is one of the most modern and forward-thinking companies in commercial marine.

In 2016, d’Amico felt it had outgrown its existing commercial management system, in use since 2000, and decided to search for a technology partner that would meet the needs of their growing business.
