Introducing Veslink Business Intelligence
Veson Nautical is excited to introduce Veslink Business Intelligence, a solution designed to deliver actionable insights anchored in analytics. Designed for users of all levels of experience, Veslink BI combines voyage performance data with the underlying contracts, pricing, and voyage P&L, and uses Microsoft Power BI to create visually striking, interactive dashboards and deliver data in context directly to end users, decision-makers, and counterparties.
Veson Nautical at CMA Shipping 2017 Conference
Veson Nautical was a sponsor, speaker, and exhibitor at CMA Shipping 2017 Conference. Our Vice President of Product, Agya Garg, spoke about big data in shipping in her presentation "Big Data, Small Footprint: Sail Through the Hype and Get Value." The presentation focused on how companies tend to find big data initiatives difficult to implement and challenging to obtain tangible benefits. With the release of Veslink Business Intelligence, we aim to change that. The presentation was well received and we thank everyone who was able to join us at the session.
It was a pleasure reuniting with familiar faces and meeting the many attendees who stopped by our booth!

Tips & Tricks
Tip #1: Flexibly manage Tasks to meet evolving business needs: In IMOS, as your business grows and your processes change, you can customize where and how your team manages Tasks. When creating or editing a Task, using the Object Type field, you can choose to display the Task on a specific Cargo, Time Charter, Voyage, or Voyage Estimate, or you can create a Global Task. Requires IMOS v7.11.
Tip #2: Manage complex FOB/Delivered Cargo workflows: IMOS v7.11 offers new features related to FOB/Delivered Cargoes. For example, using the new FOB Voyage form, you can create a Laytime Calculation for multiple FOB/Delivered Cargoes. Requires IMOS v7.11.
Tip #3: Prevent bunker reporting errors: To help reduce vessel form errors, in Veslink System Configuration, the Forms page includes several controls for validating bunker consumption. Administrators can define in-port and at-sea consumption thresholds and enable Offline Forms to validate reported bunkers against IMOS vessel details.
